Gulets (pronounced goo-lets) are wooden schooners that have been used for fishing and sponging around the Mediterranean for many years. The modern Gulets designed of a two-masted or three-masted and the most common design has two masts. From the 1970s onwards they became a popular way to ferry tourists around the bays of the Aegean region from Yalikavak, Turgutreis, Bodrum, D Maris, Marmaris, Orhaniye, Ferthiye, Göcek, Antalya.
How many people can be accommodated in a Gulet?
A Gulet may have from 3 to 18 cabins (for 6 to 36 people), but 5 and 6 cabin vessels capable of sleeping 10 to 12 voyagers are most common. (The 2 to 5 person crew usually sleeps in a lazarette at the bow).

You can get economy 6 cabin Gulets for 400 euros per day in lower season, all the way to VIP category Gulets that costs up to 15,000 euros per day, and can accommodate up to 10 or 12 guests. Of course on high season July and August prices start from 800 euros up to 30,000 euros per day depending which category and capacity of guests.
May I charter a Gulet in other countries or only in Türkiye?
There are some Gulets available for charters in Croatia, Italy and Greece. But the biggest selection and most famous Gulets are existing only in Türkiye!
